These terms cover every HyperlaneWorks app, starting with CardLane. They're the agreement between you and us when you make a card or buy Premium. The short version is right below; the numbered clauses are what counts.

You own what you put on it. You're also responsible for it.
One card, one charge, nothing recurring. Paddle handles the payment.
Or if you were charged by mistake. See the refund policy.
HyperlaneWorks ("we", "us") is a software studio run by the sole proprietor below. CardLane, at hyperlaneworks.com/cardlane, is one of its apps. By using any HyperlaneWorks app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
CardLane makes digital business cards: a public page, a QR code, a vCard, and Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes. You don't need an account.
Wallet passes are shown by Apple and Google, and how they look and update is partly up to them. We may improve or change features over time, but we won't take away what you paid for on a Premium card while the service runs.
Our order process is handled by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every order, so when you buy Premium you're buying from Paddle, under Paddle's buyer terms. Paddle takes the payment, sends the receipt, handles sales tax and VAT, and processes refunds and billing questions.
The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. It can differ by country and currency, and any sales tax or VAT is shown before you confirm. Premium is switched on for the card as soon as Paddle confirms the payment.
Premium is unlocked on your card as soon as you pay. By buying it, you agree to get it straight away and accept that this ends any 14-day right to withdraw from the purchase. We refund Premium if it doesn't work as described and we can't fix it, or if you were charged by mistake. We don't refund change-of-mind purchases. The details, including how to ask, are in our refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
You keep ownership of everything you put on a card: names, contact details, links, logos and images. You give us permission to store, resize, display and share that content only to run the service. That includes publishing it at your card's public link and sending it to Apple and Google when a pass is added to a wallet.
A card is public to anyone with its link or QR code. You agree not to put anything on it that:
If a card breaks these rules, or we get a valid legal complaint about it, we may take it down without warning, and no refund is due. If we remove a Premium card for any other reason while the service runs, we'll refund it.
Instead of a password, CardLane uses emailed edit links and codes. Anyone who has them can change or delete your card, so keep them private and use an email address only you can read. We aren't responsible for changes made by someone using a link or code you shared.
Please don't try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service. That includes creating cards in bulk with scripts, getting around the Premium check, or scraping other people's cards. Need many cards for a team? Write to us and we'll sort something out.
We work hard to keep cards online and passes updating, but the service is provided "as is". We can't promise it will never be interrupted, and parts of it depend on Apple, Google, Paddle and our hosting providers.
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost business or lost contacts. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the card in question in the previous 12 months. This doesn't limit liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud or gross negligence, and it doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
How we handle personal data and cookies is set out in our privacy notice, which is part of these terms.
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top will always show the latest version. Changes apply from that date, and they never take away what you already bought.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. If you buy as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim there. We'd much rather sort things out directly first, so please write to us.
